The Newport Beach Film Festival, in partnership with The Pacific Symphony, is proud to present a retrospective screening of Milos Forman’s 1984 Oscar-winning masterpiece Amadeus at the historic Regency Lido Theater on January 28th, 2013.
Antonio Salieri, one of the most famous musicians of his time, tells the story of his rivalry with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the prodigious if less-than-humble genius composer. Now much older, Salieri relates the details of the tragically early death of Mozart, the jealousy that raged within him, and the personal war with God that drove him to near obsession.
